In terms of hot new colour of the season the annual forecast by Asian Paints predicts an upcoming year's colour trends and sets up a springboard for design ideas, the company has introduced a brand new shade 'Coral Radiance' as the 'Colour of the Year.' The output of an extensive research process, the Colour of the Year and the four colour trends of the year have been identified by some of India's top designers, architects,advertising professionals and sociologists. "Colour Next is the outcome of a journey across India to gauge the subtle changes in societal behaviour that impact decor behaviour. In its 12th year, Colour Next is acknowledged as one of the most comprehensive colour trend researches around," Amit Syngle, President-Sales, Marketing and Technology, Asian Paints Ltd said. Interior products like a people tree lamp with faces of people on the lamp tree or magnetic chairs which can be arranged into any kind of unit like a sofa or a stool and lamps which look like a normal beanbag are some of the eye-catchers at the Fair. "I think designs which are not comfortable are no use to human beings. If they cannot make our lives easier then they are just piece of art," Lekha Washington, designer who is showcasing her Atom and Phases of the Moon collection at the exhibit ground said.
