'Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya' trailer a hit on YouTube

In just 12 hours, the first trailer of Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt starrer 'Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya' gathered 5 million hits on YouTube. The overwhelmed filmmaker Karan Johar took to Twitter to share the news. "5 MILLION in 12 hours!!!!! #BadrinathKiDulhania @Varun_dvn @aliaa08 @ShashankKhaitan," KJo tweeted along with a picture. The trailer opens with the legendary voice of radio announcer Ameen Sayani and proceeds to show us Varun and Alia thumping the floor to the sound of Bappi Lahiri's rip-off "Tamma tamma". As in the courtship conventions of films from the 1970s and 1980s the hero hounds the heroine everywhere …in her dreams, on the laptop, in a bus, at an eatery and so on.
