- Adele to headline 2016 Glastonbury Festival
British singer Adele has announced that she will headline the Glastonbury Festival this year. The "Hello" singer made the announcement while playing a show at the O2 Arena here on Friday night, telling the crowd in attendance that she is going to headline the festival on June 25. "Who's going to Glastonbury this year," Adele asked the audience. "See you there. I'll be there. I'll be headlining on the Saturday night this year." She went on to reveal that she was wanted to headline the fest last year, but her "record wasn't ready" at the time. She also shared a message to anyone who might criticise the organiser's choice to book her.
