What role Aishwarya Rai played in Salman's hit and run case?

This is weird but true, did Aishwarya Rai have a role to play in Salman Khan's hit and run case. A veteran journalist from Mumbai, who has been an insider of Bollywood says that ever since there were cracks in Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai relationships. Salman had taken to drinking in a big way. He was not in a mentally stable condition. It would be absolutely wrong to say that Aishwarya was the reason behind the hit and run case. But that Salman was deeply involved with Aishwarya. A heated argument and a rough behaviour by Salman Khan had forced Aishwarya to call off the relationship.
