When Arjun Kapoor refused to call Sridevi his mom

Sridevi has turned a year older and her life has had many interesting anecdotes, as a life of any Bollywood diva would have. And she was ruling Bollywood, once upon a time, so many tales have been doing the rounds, some confirmed while others hearsay. When Sridevi married veteran producer Boney Kapoor, she was already pregnant with their first child. Very soon, his first wife Mona Kapoor succumbed to cancer. It was very tough for Arjun Kapoor to accept Sridevi as his mother. At best, he called her, in many interviews, his father's second wife. He could never say anything wrong about his father, but the bitterness spilled out, now and then, nonetheless. Arjun says that he does respect the vast and impressive body of work of Sridevi, but it has never been the typical mother-son relationship. Maybe with time there is a thaw in this coolness.
