- Bold films become mainstream in B'wood
'Murder', 2004: Before 'Murder 2' (a huge hit) and 'Murder 3' (a moderate performer) was the mother of them all: Murder. With the idea lifted from the Hollywood film Unfaithful, the film about a married woman's extra-marital affair (Mallika Sherawat) and what happens thereafter had Emraan Hashmi playing the troublemaker-intruder and Ashmit Patel as the husband. A trendsetter, which filmmakers have started capitalising on much later. But as they say, better late than never.
