Bollywood films of yore had a couple of significant methods to tell the world that their films were on the way. First was the radio. The other was the poster which looked rather crude. There was the hoarding also, but that was confined to slightly larger towns and genuinely big cities. Then came promotion on television in which standard variations of the trailer were shown. Some stars were media-friendly, others were not. In recent years, a film needs to rake in a lot more moolah to succeed simply because the budgets are becoming scaringly big on occasions.
