I was new and though my debut film had become a hit I was at a point where I had to think of sustaining that success. I had made the mistake of signing some films that flopped and the media was already calling me a one film wonder. When I read the script I did not like it and I summoned the courage to tell Bhatt Sahab the truth. Then Bhatt Sahab told me he was planning to make a film adaptation of It Happened one Night. He was casting Pooja in it. Would I like to play the lead? I thought to myself what mileage will I get in a film where the director’s daughter is the heroine? Still I said yes because the subject was exciting. When we began to shoot I found out that Bhatt Sahab was fair to all the members of the cast and Pooja was fun to work with and she had immense potential”
