Five reasons that make Baahubali a blockbuster

Being a regional film Baahubali has touched 300 crore mark in just nine days of its release at Box Office. There are many reasons for the film’s stupendous box office success. First and foremost is the coming together of talents that are counted among the best in the country in their respective spheres. The result of such a merger cannot but be superior and spectacular. The camera had the gifted FTII alumnus, Senthil Kumar, who has the rare reputation for flawless work and has cranked the camera for practically all of Rajamouli’s films, including Magadheera and Eega, the fitting music score was provided by M M Keeravani , winner of one National award, four Filmfare awards, eight Nandi awards and one Tamil Nadu State award, who has distinguished work to his credit in all the South regional cinemas, editing by Kotagiri V Rao who has five Nandi awards to his credit and is known for the finesse his scissors bring to the films he edits, the legendary Sabu Cyril as production designer and the astute Srinivas Mohan as the special effects supervisor. What better combination can one wish for on the technical side for a film that necessarily demands a huge budget and with it a huge risk element.
