Swastika Mukherjee, who will be seen romancing Sushant Singh Rajput in Dibakar Banerjee’s upcoming film, Detective Byomkesh Bakshy has landed in a major controversy. The actress, who was in Singapore to attend a Bengali film festival was caught shoplifting. Yes, you read that right! Shocking, isn’t it? Reportedly, she was captured by the CCTV cameras while putting a pair of gold earrings into her handbag at a jewellery showroom. However, Swastika chose not to keep mum on this matter as she gave a clarification to the media. “I don’t know how it got into my bag. Perhaps it was by accident. But I have bought other jewellery from the store and I have got receipts for it,” Mukherjee said.
