It developed at an awards night when SRK is said to have spoken rudely to Amar Singh who used to accompany AB to all glamorous events like a Bachchan family member. The cold war between the two stars lasted for a long time and was terminated by SRK when he went up to the senior actor at a crowded event and melted his icy aloofness with the famous SRK smile. It did not take more than an instant for the legend to take SRK’s hand in his and pat it wordlessly. Was it a publicity stunt? Silly thought, when you consider the stature of the two stars in the industry. Neither has the need for cheap publicity.
