The movie stars 'Students of the Year' fame Alia Bhatt and Randeep Hooda in lead roles. This is the second movie of Alia Bhatt. The movie Highway hogged limelight for intimate scene between Alia Bhatt and Randeep Hooda. mtiaz Ali, the director of the film stated, "Highway has been a story that has stayed with me for 15 years. There was something in it that didn’t die. Usually you lose interest in a story beyond a certain point. But with Highway, there was something very subtle, yet something very influential. I intended Highway to be the first film that I ever made. The movie is scheduled to be released on February 21, 2014.
