Ranbir Kapoor to play Sanjay Dutt

After months of speculations as to who would play Superstar Sanjay Dutt in Rajkumar Hirani's bio pic on Sanjay Dutt. It's now official . It will be Ranbir Kapoor. The kapoor lad has finally has given his nod to the project. He will play the currently incarcerated superstar on screen. Though Ranbir had shown interest in the subject, he was mulling over the decision. Hirani too was undecided about the project. Not so long ago, Ranbir had told a section of the media, "Portraying Sanju sir on screen is a big task. And it comes with a huge responsibility. He's had a very entertaining, engaging, and a roller-coaster kind of a life. I think Raju sir himself hasn't decided if he wants to do it or not.". For Ranbir playing Sanjay Dutt on screen would be herculena task given that Ranbir has often portrayed a romantic image on screen. On the other hand Sanjay Dutt with his gait and towering presence had a very powerful on screen image. For Ranbir steeping into Deadly Dutt's shoes is undoubtedly a huge challenge. Can he pull it off? It remains to be seen.
