Revealed: Why Abhishek-Karishma's engagement was broken

Karishma Kapoor was engaged to Abhishek Bachchan, but this did not culiminate into a marriage. The engagement of the Kapoor family's daughter and Junior Bachchan had become the talk of the town. Amitabh Bachchan's daughter Shweta is already married to Raj Kapoor's sister's son Nikhil. So when this marriage was planned, it did not come as a surprise. But when the engagement broke, it did come as a surprise. The reason? Informs a Bollywood veteran, " Babita, Karishma's mom wanted Abhishek to shift in the house bought by Karishma. This was not acceptable to the Bachchans." Which means that if Abhishek was married to Karishma he had to live in Karishma's house and leave his parents home.
