Mumbai court had framed charges against Saif for alleged brawl in Mumbai restaurant in 2012 . His scuffle with Iqbal Sharma, a South African trade official at Taj Hotel's high profile restaurant Wasabi, is making a lot of noise. Saif and his Bollywood friends were attracting a lot of attention as they were making lot of noise around disturbing others present in the restaurant. When objections were raised Saif walked up to the Iqbal Sharma, a South African businessman, and punched him on the nose, fracturing it. Saif was arrested and released on bail within 90 minutes. On March 14, S C Agrawal, an RTI activist, had filed a complaint with the Union Home Ministry demanding stripping Saif of the award Saif was conferred with the honour for his contribution in the field of art.
