- Ridhi's next show is 'Darr Sabko Lagta Hai'
Popular TV actress Ridhi Dogra has revealed that she is currently in the process of writing a new show with her actor-husband Raqesh Vashisth. The actress, popularly known for her role of Priya in "Maryada: Lekin Kab Tak?", said she would be creatively involved with the show. When asked if she is keen to write a TV show, Ridhi told media persons, "I would probably be taking up something like that. In fact we, Raqesh and I, are in the process of making a very interesting show. I can't talk a lot about it because it's still in a very nascent stage, but I am creatively involved in that show." The actress said she would be part of the show on the scripting level too. "I am creatively writing what I can right now and will definitely be a part of it at the screenplay and script level. So yes I am using my creative juices in writing in that aspect," she said. Ridhi, however, will not start a full-fledged writing career as she wants to focus on acting for next five years. "I would be definitely open to writing, I want to write, may be in the future. As of now my priority is acting and I want to focus on that completely. For the next five years I am sold to acting and won't do anything else full time," she said. The 31-year-old actress will be next seen in an episode of horror show "Darr Sabko Lagta Hai". For Ridhi, it was the show's handling of the horror genre which attracted her to be a part of the latest episode. "I've seen a couple of episodes of 'Darr Sabko Lagta Hai'. I liked that the storytelling and the treatment was different from how normally I've seen horror shows on TV. And that's what got me interested in doing it," she said. "Also, it's episodic, so you want to do it with a team that you can gain experience from. All the people connected with the show are people to learn from and that's one of the primary reasons why I took up this episode," she said. Ridhi, who has previously worked on shows like "Laagi Tujhse Lagan", "Nach Baliye" and "Khatron Ke Khiladi season 6", said she had no apprehension in doing a horror show. "Apprehensions not really because as an actor you want to do all kinds of work. You want to do shows and roles that are different from anything you've ever done, and horror obviously is not a genre I've done on a regular basis. So there was no apprehension, but I was excited to do something which I've never done before," she said. The episode starring Ridhi airs today on TV.
