Bollywood superstar Salman Khan was booked by the police here for allegedly hurting the religious sentiments of a community.The 48-year-old actor was booked under IPC Section 295A (deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs) on the basis of a complaint lodged by one Mohammad Asim Mohammad Arif, a city resident, police said.Government of Maharashtra appointed new prosecutor at fag end of Salman hit-and-run case after 11 years trial in a hit-and-run case involving actor Salman Khan commenced, the Government of Maharashtra has decided to bring on board a special public prosecutor to represent the state in the case.
