- Shakira joins 'Zootopia' voice cast
Shakira has joined the voice cast of upcoming Disney animated movie "Zootopia". The 38-year-old "La La La" hit maker will voice Gazelle, the biggest pop star in "Zootopia" and will also perform a new original song titled "Try Everything," reported Aceshowbiz. The project is being directed by "Tangled" helmer Byron Howard and "Wreck-It Ralph" director Rich Moore and co-directed by Jared Bush. The story is set in a modern mammal metropolis comprised of neighbourhoods like ritzy Sahara Square and centres on Nick and Judy, who do not get along at first but must work together when he needs her help getting out of a jam as she is trying to crack a big case. The movie will also feature voice performances from Jason Bateman and Ginnifer Goodwin. Jason will voice a fast-talking scam-artist fox named Nick Wilde while Ginnifer plays Judy Hopps, an upbeat bunny who is new to the police force. "Zootopia" is scheduled for March 2016 release.
