Are you lying to your partner?

Small lies: Yes, very small ones. You might buy something that your partner hates, and not share the information with the person: say, a video game which you love to collect but he/she sees as complete waste of money. You have the right to like it. And, your partner is free to dislike your passion. As long as you are not indulging in something that is obviously bad for health, way too expensive or both, you have to insist that your partner has to accept your choices. That is what relationships are all about in any case.
