"A baby born at 23 weeks requires a lot of intervention, which includes mechanical ventilation and other invasive treatments, followed by a lengthy stay in a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) incubator, specifically designed for babies born at 23 weeks," said Dr Ashok Gawdi, consultant paediatrician.
