Holy month of Ramadan begins today

The holy month of Ramadan began after the sighting of the new moon on Monday evening. So, as the sun set and the call to prayer was heard emanating from the local mosque all start preparing for special prayer to offer in Ramadan (Taraweeh).The most important aspect of Ramzan is fasting from daybreak to sunset in which followers are not allowed a single drop of water or morsel of food from dawn to dusk. The holy month of Ramadan began Monday in several countries around the world including Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.Other countries in the Middle East and North Africa are going to begin Ramadan on Tuesday.
