IPL7 begins with two one-sided games

Under the stewardship of Sunil Gavaskar, the Pepsi Indian Premier League’s seventh season has begun. The mood was set when Shah Rukh Khan, during its inaugural show, asked Virat Kohli to join him on the stage and held an impromptu ‘swayamvar’ in which the young batsman was engaged to a photograph of actor Anushka Sharma! The tournament might be just two matches old so far. But it has seen everything it ought to: some fascinating bowling, destructive batting and great fielding marred by dropped catches.
