The DD-RCB match was equally if not more one-sided. When a batsman like Kohli is dropped not once but twice, what else can one expect? DD’s initial collapse was followed by an excellent 110 run partnership between J P Duminy and Ross Taylor, allowing the team to post a competitive total of 145 on the board. But RCB got off to a promising start, with wicketkeeper-opener Parthiv Patel scoring a brisk 35 to ensure that the scoring rate didn’t slacken. This was followed by an unbeaten partnership between Yuvraj Singh (52 off 29 balls) and Kohli who remained stranded at 49. RCB wrapped up the match in 16.4 overs, a great start for them but not an ideal t20 win.
