If reports are to be believed, David Beckham is heading the front that comprises of Class of 92 stars Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs, Nicky Butt and the Neville brothers to take over the football club that turned them into international stars and is currently funded by the Glazer family. News is that this front could be backed by wealthy Arabs and their Middle Eastern oil money, horse racing trainer Ged Mason and millionaire bookmaker Fred Done amongst others. The consortium are hoping to purchase 90% stake from club's US owners Glazers. The bid has not yet been confirmed by former players, and even the club has stated that it hasn't been approached yet.
