Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Wednesday thrashed defending champions Mumbai Indian by 41 runs to start their IPL 2014 campaign on winning note. For KKR, veteran Jacques Kallis (72) and Manish Pandey (64) played crucial knock to set mammoth 164 runs target before Mumbai Indians. After losing skipper Gautam Gambhir for duck, KLallis and Pandey added crucial 131 runs for the second wicket partnership. In reply to 164 runs target, Mike Hussey (3) and AP Tare failed to provide good start to Mumbai side. Mike Hussey, who was playing his first game for Mumbai Indians, scored just three off 13 balls. He was dismissed by Sunil Narine.
