India's Asian Games heroes

India may be languishing in the 15 th spot in the medals tally of the 17th Asian Games at Incheon South Korea . With only one Asian Games gold to show at the competition, India's hopes of improving on their medal tally in China four years ago are diminishing fast. Jitu Rai gave India a bright by clinching the men's 50 metre pistol event but Incheon has not seen another Indian gold medallist since then. India finished eighth on the medals table at the 2002 and 2006 Asiads and improved to sixth in Guangzhou, bagging 65 medals which marked their best ever haul in the Games. Despite the rather poor showing , there were some moments to cheer for the Indian fans as some sports persons brought laurels to the country with their medal winning effort.
