The Twenty20 World Cup 2014 has seen some stunning upsets and abject failures . Australia led by George Bailey was one of the top favourites for the title but they could win only one match before bowing out. England too crashed out early. The absence of Kevin Pietersen in the line-up was clearly felt. England missed a match- winner and rubbing salts into their wounds as the loss to Holland by 45 runs. Pakistan promised much but could not go far . But one of the biggest disappointments of the tournament was the failure of Chris Gayle. The Gayle storm or the Gayle Force never took off and West Indies felt the impact of his poor run.
