Was BCCI right in banning WAGS from meeting their spouses?

There was so much of hue and cry when the BCCI was adament that WAGS should not visit their partners during the World Cup tour. Panels discussing the pros and cons of the statement, and most of the time blaming the BCCI for this arbitrary action. But the way the Indian tean fizzled out in the semi finals, one is bound to say that BCCI was right in putting the ban. Till India played the semi finals, everything was going smooth.
