The Congress leadership has not accepted the resignations of Congress chief Ajay Maken ' title='Delhi Congress chief Ajay Maken '>Delhi Congress chief Ajay Maken and state incharge P.C. Chacko, who put in their papers in wake of the party's debacle in the civic polls, party sources said on Friday.
According to a party source, the resignations have not been accepted by party chief Sonia Gandhi and they will continue on their posts.
Maken and Chacko had on Wednesday resigned owning moral responsibility for the party's defeat in the MCD polls.
Apart from Sonia Gandhi, the resignation letters were also sent to party Vice President Rahul Gandhi.
