The red beacons, which become a symbol of VIP culture, will no more be seen on the vehicles from today.
The VIP culture of flaunting red beacons on official vehicles will be history from today as no government vehicle will be allowed to use the Red Bacon or the Lal Batti.
However, vehicles involved in emergency and relief and rescue work, Police vehicles, ambulances and fire service will be allowed to use blue beacons.The central government April 17th announced that no dignitary will be allowed to flaunt red beacons atop their vehicles from May 1.
The decision was taken by Prime Minister Modi and soon after the announcement several ministers removed the red beacons from their vehicles.Saharasamay Desk For Latest Updates Please-
