The counting for Presidential Election 2017 began at 11am on Thursday and results are expected by 5 pm.
Speculations are that Ram Nath Kovind will have a comfortable win over his rival Meira Kumar.
There will be eight round of counting and votes would be counted on four separate tables. First, the ballot box of Parliament House would be opened, and then, the ballot boxes received from states would be counted alphabetically.
A total of 4,896 voters - 4,120 MLAs and 776 elected MPs - cast their ballot on July 17.
Lok Sabha Secretary General Anoop Mishra, who is the Returning Officer for the election, will issue the certificate to the winning candidate.Saharasamay desk For Latest Updates Please-
