A civilian and a soldier were killed on Wednesday in an ongoing gunfight between the security forces and the militants in Jammu and Kashmir.
Two other security personnel were also injured as the the holed up militants fired at security forces in Wani Mohalla of Kulgam district, informed sources in the police said.
Protests have broken out near the gun battle site. A protester, identified as Sharjeel Sheikh, 28, who sustained a bullet injury, have succumbed at a hospital, the sources said.
Two-to-three LeT militants were still holed up inside a house.
Authorities have ordered closure of all schools and colleges in Kulgam and Internet services have been suspended.IANS Srinagar For Latest Updates Please-
