Home delivery boys in UP to be tested for coronavirus Last Updated : 22 Apr 2020 10:29:44 AM IST Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday directed all personnel deployed in home delivery service of essential items must be tested and asked to use face masks as well as other protective equipment while discharging their duties.
The directive comes after a food delivery boy tested positive for the coronavirus in Delhi leading to a large of a locality to be quarantined.Adityanath, at a review meeting, said that the police and medical teams must also be adequately protected from infection. The chief minister underlined the need for medical and police personnel to mandatorily use face masks, gloves and other protective equipment.He also asked officials to encourage pool testing. He said that testing facility should be set up in all the medical colleges and divisional headquarters having no medical colleges should have the facility at the district hospital.The chief minister further said that non-Covid-19 emergency health services should also be resumed in hospitals after training the staff."A work plan should be drawn up to start a training programme through master trainers to educate people about basic medical treatment methods," he said.IANS Lucknow For Latest Updates Please-
