It was a cloudy Monday morning in the national capital with the minimum temperature recorded at 13 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season's average, the weather office said.
"The sky will be generally cloudy and thundershowers with light rains is likely to occur in some areas," an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official told IANS.
The humidity was 73 per cent at 8.30 a.m., while visibility stood at 3,000 metres.
At least 12 trains were cancelled, 13 delayed and four rescheduled due to fog in some parts of northern India, according to the Northern Railway.
The maximum temperature was likely to hover around 20 degrees Celsius.
Sunday's maximum temperature settled at 25.5 degrees Celsius, three degrees above the season's average, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 8.5 degrees Celsius, two notches below the season's average.
