Andrei Stenin International photo contest opens in Delhi Last Updated : 02 Dec 2019 01:37:38 PM IST An exhibition of Andrei Stenin photo contest winners organised by Rossiya Segodnya under the auspicious of Russian Commission for UNESCO has been opened in New Delhi’s All India Fine Arts and Crafts gallery.
Speaking on the occasion, Russian ambassador to India Nikolay Kudashev ' title=' Russian ambassador to India Nikolay Kudashev '>Russian ambassador to India Nikolay Kudashev said that Russia’s relations with India is deeply humanistic in nature.
“I as the person who stood at the origins of the exhibition believe that photographic art tells us about the value of life and its multifaceted nature. Understanding the significance of being and human life is one of the foundations of our relationship with India, which is deeply humanistic in nature,” Nikolay Kudashev said.
The exhibition has already been held in Moscow, Budapest, Cape Town, New York and Italy.
The exhibition also features several Indian photo journalists including Santanu Dey, Debarchan Chatterjee, Amit Moulick and Ayanava Sil.
The Andrei Stenin Initernational Press Photo Contest was launched in the memory of late Russian photo journalist Andrei Stenin who was killed in the Donetsk region in Ukraine in 2014 while performing his duties.
The Andrei Stenin photo contest’s objective is to support young photographers and draw public attention to the challenges modern photojournalism.Bijendra Singh For Latest Updates Please-
