Jamia violence: Delhi Police files chargesheet, Sharjeel Imam named 'instigator' Last Updated : 18 Feb 2020 02:32:26 PM IST JNU student Sharjeel Imam (file photo) The Delhi Police filed a chargesheet in December 15 Jamia Millia Islamia violence case. Jamia Millia student Sharjeel Imam has been named as an "instigator" in the chargesheet.
The chargesheet was filed before Delhi's Saket court on February 13.Besides Imam, no other students from the university have been named in the chargesheet.Protests against the newly-enacted Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) had turned violent on December 15 near Delhi's Jamia Nagar.
