Delhi Capitals all-rounder Axar Patel tests positive for coronavirus ahead of IPL 2021 Last Updated : 03 Apr 2021 03:31:09 PM IST Axar Patel Delhi Capitals (DC) all-rounder Axar Patel has tested positive for Covid-19 ahead of the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League. The development comes close on the heels of eight members of the groundstaff at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium testing positive for Covid-19. Delhi plays its first match of the season, against the Chennai Super Kings in Mumbai on April 10.
"Delhi Capitals all-rounder Axar Patel has tested positive for COVID-19. He had checked into the team hotel in Mumbai on March 28, 2021, with a negative report. His report from the second COVID test came positive. He is currently in isolation at a designated medical care facility. The Delhi Capitals medical team is in constant touch with Axar and ensuring his safety and well-being. We wish him a speedy recovery," said a DC statement.IANS Mumbai For Latest Updates Please-
