Banned, but not by the censors

Aaja Nachle Madhuri Dixit made her comeback with ‘Aaja Nachle,’ a film that hardly seemed to be the kind that could have been banned. But that is exactly what happened in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Haryana after certain sections of the Dalit community reacted to a reference to them in the title song that portrayed them in a poor light. Those words were subsequently removed. The state governments lifted the ban later.
