There are many other incidents that describe Anandiben's strong conviction and dynamic temperament. One such incident is when she stopped the child marriage of her elder brother's son. She brought a stay from the court even before the marriage could be slomnised, knowing well that her act would bring ire of her family members including the brother himself. Even her estranged husband, Mafatlal Patel, remembers her as a decisive leader with clear thoughts.
