Govt to stop rhino poaching

Terming the poaching of one-horned rhino as a serious matter, Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar said on Wednesday, Aug 13, he will hold a meeting in Assam shortly to evolve a strategy to deal with the issue. Responding to a supplementary in the Lok Sabha, he said he would visit the Kaziranga National Park after the ongoing Parliament session and hold a meeting with local officials and people's representatives so that they can apply their minds on the best way to check poaching.
