Rescue work on war footing, more rains predicted in Uttarakhand

Number of people are stranded between Gaurikund and Ram Bada and ropeways are being used to help evacuate the able bodied among the people. No roads exists after floods the terrain has become tedious to negotiate and the evacuation has slowed down.
