The 139th Jagannath Rath-Yatra began in Ahmedabad on Wednesday. The Chariot of Lord Jagannath rolled out on the roads today morning from the over 400-year old temple in Jamalpur area and will travel along a 14-km-route across the city, where lakhs of devotees will seek blessings. The annual Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath and his siblings will also begin in Puri today with around 10 lakh people expecting taking part in the nine-day chariot festival. The three chariots -- Taladhwaja of Lord Balabhadra, Nandighosh of Lord Jagannath and Darpadalana of Devi Subhadra -- were being pulled to the Gundicha temple. The deities will be worshipped for seven days at the temple.
