After a month long scorching heat, finally monsoon rains brought relief for Mumbaikars on Wednesday morning. After second driest June since 1951, Mumbai witnessed heavy downpour caused by monsoon. However, people enjoyed the much needed rainfall but it also brought water-logging in some parts causing traffic snarl. Whereas traffic jams were reported from some areas in Andheri, flights and local trains on Central Railway route were also reported delayed. Met Department had predicted arrival of monsoon in the city on July 3 or 4 but it arrived a day before.
