Suffering from from Scoliosis, a spine-related disorder, which disrupts her arm movement, Ira never submitted herself to the cruelty of life. She had also cleared civil services examination in 2010, but she was denied any posting because of physical infirmities. Though after filing a case in the Central Administrative Tribunal, she won it and got a posting in December 2014 too, but the incident made her tougher. She continued to sit for civil services examination and at last in her fourth attempt she became what she wanted: a topper.
