Ferrari launches California T in India

Leading sports carmaker Ferrari, rolled out a new turbocharged variant of its famed California model, that dates back its origins to the 1950s, with a V8 engine at Rs 3.4 crore. The head of sales for Ferrari West Asia and Africa, Aurelien Sauvard said the company has received eight bookings so far for the new model from the country where already around 50 cars are on the road. The new California T, powered by an 8-cylinder turbocharged engine, can gain a top speed of 316 kmph and can attain 100 kmph in 3.6 seconds, the company said, adding it also offers 15 per cent more fuel efficiency.
