- Mercedes AMG GTS Launched in India at Rs 2.4 crore
Luxury car giant Mercedes Benz on Tuesday launched its Supercar AMG GTS at Rs 2.4 crore ex-showrooms Delhi. The car is powered by a 4 litre V8 engine which is produces 510 bhp and 650 Nm of max torque. This pushes the car to 100kmph, from standstill, in just 3.8 seconds. The car is mated to AMG Speed shift DCT 7-speed sports transmission which gets five modes namely "C" (Comfort), "S" (Sport), "S " (Sport Plus), I (Individual) and "RACE" mode. The German company has claimed that AMG GTS is the first sports car to have internally installed turbochargers ("hot inner V") and dry sump lubrication. The car comes with host of customization options and unique configurations; 10,000 , to give an idea. This includes 7 exterior colour options, 6 upholstery options, 4 alloy wheel design options, 4 trim options and then a few more. What’s more, the drivers can even change the exhaust note according to their preference by adjusting the exhaust flaps. Other premium features of the car include adaptive brake lights, composite braking system, automatic child seat recognition and eight airbags. Mercedes-Benz currently sells ten AMG products in the country.
